Understanding TMJ Disorders:

TMJ disorders encompass a range of issues affecting the jaw joint’s movement and function, often leading to pain, discomfort, and mobility issues. Causes can vary, including jaw injuries, arthritis, bruxism (teeth grinding), misalignment, and stress, which can all contribute to the development of TMJ disorders.

In our commitment to offering cutting-edge solutions, The Osteopathic Center focuses on the following advanced injection treatments for TMJ disorders:

  • Prolotherapy:
    • As a forefront treatment for TMJ disorders at The Osteopathic Center, Prolotherapy involves the injection of a dextrose solution into the affected area. This stimulates the body’s natural healing response, encouraging the repair of ligaments and tendons around the TMJ, thus providing relief from discomfort and enhancing tissue strength.
  • ProloGraft®:
    • Building on the principles of Prolotherapy, ProloGraft® introduces a unique blend of natural and regenerative components to further stimulate healing. This advanced treatment is designed to promote the regeneration of damaged tissues within the TMJ, offering a cutting-edge solution for those seeking comprehensive recovery.
  • Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) Therapy:
    • PRP Therapy utilizes the healing potential of your own blood’s platelets to accelerate tissue repair and regeneration in the TMJ area. This treatment is particularly effective for soft tissue injuries, reducing pain and facilitating a faster healing process.
