Hair Transplants vs. Regenerative Injections: Unraveling the Options for Hair Loss

Hair loss can be a distressing experience, impacting self-confidence and overall well-being. As medical science evolves, individuals seeking restoration are no longer limited to traditional methods. At The Osteopathic Center, we believe in empowering you with the knowledge to choose between surgical hair transplants and the cutting-edge world of Regenerative Injections.

Regenerative hair restoration treatments and scalp health

Understanding Hair Transplants

Hair transplants have been the gold standard for decades. The procedure involves surgically extracting healthy follicles from a “donor site” (usually the back of the head) and relocating them to thinning areas. While permanent and reliable, it is an invasive procedure that depends heavily on the availability of donor hair and the health of the scalp tissue.

The Rise of Regenerative Injections

For those seeking non-surgical alternatives, regenerative therapies offer a way to “awaken” dormant follicles and reverse the thinning process without incisions or downtime. These treatments focus on optimizing the scalp micro-environment to support thicker, healthier hair growth.

Exploring Your Regenerative Options

We specialize in a variety of orthobiologic and gaseous therapies designed to stimulate follicular regeneration:

  • PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) Therapy: Using your own blood’s growth factors to increase hair thickness and stimulate the growth phase of the follicle.
  • Prolozone (Ozone) Therapy: Medical-grade ozone injections that improve oxygenation and micro-circulation in the scalp, reducing inflammation that leads to hair loss.
  • Exosome Therapy: Utilizing extracellular vesicles to deliver powerful genetic signals and proteins directly to hair follicle cells for rapid repair.
  • Bone Marrow & Amniotic Allografts: Utilizing the highest concentration of regenerative cells and growth factors to provide a robust environment for new hair growth.
