Facial Rejuvenation
With PRP you can stimulate your own collagen to grow for total facial rejuvenation and dramatic wrinkle improvement.

Ready to look naturally younger?

At the Osteopathic Center, we offer several effective treatments to reverse the signs of aging and make you look younger. Stem Cell or Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) injections in conjunction with microneedling have gained much popularity in recent years for their ability to give skin a much fresher appearance, and achieve a much more natural look than chemical fillers and injections. These injections are also effective in reducing or even eliminating the appearance of stretch marks, acne scars, and keloids. They also can improve the appearance of blotched, spotted, or sun damaged skin.  Get a natural radiance and glow that will get people talking!

PRP injections (aka the vampire facial) stimulate your own collagen growth for a total facial rejuvenation rather than individual wrinkle improvement. PRP is used for volumizing facial skin that is beginning to look drawn. This is done by plumping out cheek indentations, softening under eye hollows, and improving skin tone tightness and texture. PRP can fill in areas where hyaluronic acid fillers cannot reach or are simply unsafe to use. It acts as a natural filler, and since the patient’s own blood is used, there is no possibility of rejection.

For even more dramatic results, we utilize ADULT stem cells to expedite the effects of the injections. Once injected, stem cells are mixed with a specific combination of growth factors that help both the stem cells and adipose tissues grow into crucial cells. These cells then restore fat to enhance the volume of the face, as well as improve skin’s quality and texture.

How does it works?

When platelets are activated in the body, they release healing proteins called growth factors. These growth factors have a range of responsibilities, and a predominant feature is their ability to accelerate tissue repair and markedly improve wound healing. When PRP is injected into the skin, the injection entry point causes a small wound that activates the platelets, which quickly begin repairing the tissue in that area. The difference between PRP and stem cell injections are potency, price, and time. Platelets are merely a vehicle for what stem cells can do directly and more rapidly. Stem cell injections produce much longer-lasting results due to their more potent nature and their inherent capability to activate growth factors rapidly and aggressively.

How is the procedure done?

For PRP, a small amount of blood will be drawn from the patient. While the PRP is being prepared, the skin will be cleansed and prepared for the treatment. The procedure lasts approximately 45 minutes, is relatively painless, and requires no post-procedure care or downtime from daily events. The PRP injection is created from the patient’s own cells, thus eliminating the possibility of negative side-effects. Mild swelling, redness, or bruising will be visible after the procedure but will fade within 1-3 days. The treated skin will show gradual improvement and over time, and will obtain a “fresher”, more rested look – without any harmful chemicals or invasive surgeries.

Micro needling is based on the use of tiny needles to create microchannels (tiny holes) in the skin.  The process stimulates your skin’s natural ability to heal itself and produce collagen and elastin. This repair process begins almost immediately and results in a thicker dermis, and softened wrinkles or scars. We use the automated “MicroPen” for its safety profile, and predictable, high-ranking performance.

There is no tissue destruction with microneedling. The small channels in the epidermis close and the skin’s healing response occurs rapidly. Depending on the depth of the skin defect, you may see some redness or experience temporary minor pinpoint bleeding. Microneedling is also an outstanding product absorption booster. The superficial micro-channels allow topical gels, creams, and serums to be absorbed more effectively into the skin. Specific products are recommended to achieve accelerated results. We also employ platelet rich plasma topically to intensify the potency of the treatment. To increase the impact of the results, we suggest having one treatment every month for three months to get the best, long-lasting results (approx. 18 months).
